The horses did it! When our best and trustiest equine left for a new home in Alabama my late-in-life career, western writing, began. It seemed more practical than riding 'em, but it turned out to be a lot harder. Associate membership in Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West Organization and the Texas State Historical Association keeps me motivated. Back in the day I taught in the public school system in Virginia and at a Christian Academy in Delaware. My husband and I still live on the farm, Greenwood, Delaware, where we raised our children, horses, a few cows and too many barn cats.
